Local to Delaware County/ Darby, PA, Paula has extensive experience working with the medically underserved and disenfranchised communities of both Camden, NJ, and the Philadelphia, PA regions. Paula attended Temple University where she studied community health education, received her BSN from Thomas Jefferson University, as well as her MSN in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. Learning is a great passion of Paula’s, having received certification as a pediatric mental health specialist (PMHS), certification as a legal nurse consultant from Widener Legal Education Institute, as well as being currently enrolled in George Washington University’s Psychiatric and Mental Health NP program.
Paula believes that her role is to help a patient draw from their own strengths to help them succeed. With a strong belief in family/patient centered care, it is important to address not only the patient issues, but the patient’s family dynamics/ function as well.
Paula currently works in Adolescent & young adult medicine at St. Christopher’s Hospital for children. She is the proud pet parent to many little dogs and cats as well as an advocate for pet protection and welfare. Paula owns over 40 houseplants and has a particular love for her particularly odd/rare plants.
